Contractor 01
This current project involves setting up payment schedules, generating cash flow forecasts and implementing debt reduction strategies, raising invoices for work performed, generating quotes based on information provided by the client, ensuring job sheets are completed, hours allocated and submitted in a timely manner.
This process assists in maintaining an income stream that is sufficient to meet the needs of the client.
Project 02
Adding a touch of style, functionality and usability to spreadsheets goes a long way to making them easier and fun to use.
Not everyone has the time, inclination or ability to 'jazz' up a spreadsheet to that it becomes a tool that you want to use.
What I have done for this client is all of the above - instead of not wanting to open the spreadsheet each morning because it was slow, hard to use, and users being unable to get what they wanted out of it, or not wanting to break it, they now are happy to perform their daily tasks, owing to the design changes and options that have been added, including controls to prevent unauthorised access and/or changes.
We are currently working on ways to implement further controls across other business documents in the organisation.
Assistance 03
Repetitive tasks can be a chore for anyone.
One client had a need to monitor water usage for their organisation on a monthly basis to avoid bill shock come Council Rates Notice - a quick, tailor-made spreadsheet was developed to assist in the collation and recognition of usage patterns.
This spreadsheet will now allow them to monitor usage into the future and assist in the developing of maintenance (watering) schedules for the beautification of the green areas, hopefully attracting greater numbers into the organisation which will have a flow-on effect of increasing turnover, income and amenities.
Hospitality 04
Creating cashbook entries from invoices, tax receipts and other information, including allocation of income received reduced the load off the Management Team. Online access to the Accounting Records enabled work to be performed out of hours and provided minimal disruption to the business in terms of another body on the premises.
The project decreased Management stress levels and enabled them to focus on core business - Rooms and Restaurant (Food).
Administration 05
A growing business requires assistance with the administration of payroll and related functions. With a knowledge of online accounting packages, a solution is found for the right investment, and ongoing assistance with the required function is commenced.
The end result is more time for the Director to do what he knows best - sell his product and create wealth for the company and his employees.
